—Tommy Gozleone learned the arts of the sword from a young age. Born of a family that studied the dueling arts well into antiquity - the Great Gozleone clan - a secret family of assassins. But for little Tommy, everything changed one day when he went to a carnival, and there, he saw something which amazed him and changed his life - a sword swallower! He learned that he could use the sword to entertain, and not just to murder.
—He renounced the way of the killer and ran away to New Jersey to start a new life. He went to sideshow school and learned all that he could about the mystic arts of sword swallowing, the Human Blockhead, and chicanery, while roping dogies in the wilds of north-western New Jersey as his day job, where he acquired the handle "the New Jersey Cowboy" and a penchant for fringed coats.
—Dark figures from his past and his family's vengeance occasionally still do follow him, even after roaming around the country with sideshows for years, so now he as joined the 999 EYES in their reclusive retreat in Xenia, Texas to work on new acts.
